$1/$2 maniacs who punish limpers are right in theory but they have no off switch. They keep firing postflop with air because it worked preflop. Let them do it into your strong hands.

The adjustment

Limp your strong hands occasionally when the maniac is behind you. Let him raise, call, and trap him postflop when you connect. Don't try to out-aggress him. That's his game, not yours.

What it's worth

One good trap per session against this guy is real money. Way better than getting into a war with him light.
