Tight Reg · $2/$5 live

The $2/$5 tight reg who 3-bets from the blinds has a stronger range than the $2/$5 reg who 3-bets from late position. Blind 3-bets at this level are almost always for value.

Pool read #72 · 3-bet response · Positional awareness

Why they do it

$2/$5 regs who 3-bet from out of position know they're at a positional disadvantage. They don't do it without a real hand. A 3-bet from the blinds at this level is QQ+, AK, and maybe JJ if they're feeling it. They're not bluffing from a bad spot against a field that will call them.

The adjustment

Give blind 3-bets more credit than late position 3-bets. Fold more. 4-bet only with the top of your range. Don't try to exploit a spot that isn't as exploitable as it looks.

What it's worth

Flatting a blind 3-bet out of position with AJo at $2/$5 is a consistent money-loser. Fold it. The math doesn't work and neither does the position.
