Calling Station · $2/$5 live

The $2/$5 calling station who flats preflop and calls the flop is calling the turn too. Plan all three streets before you fire the first one.

Pool read #32 · Bet sizing · Maximizing value

Why they do it

Same leak as $1/$2 but with bigger numbers attached. He can't fold a pair. He's justified every call so far in his head and he'll do it again on the turn. Don't leave money on the table with soft sizing.

The adjustment

Size up on all three streets. 70-75% pot is not too much against someone who's calling anyway. Don't talk yourself into a small bet because you're scared of getting raised - he's not raising you.

What it's worth

Getting an extra $30-40 on each street against a calling station who was never folding is found money. That's $90-120 per hand you play correctly.
