The rec who plays every suited hand because "it could be a flush" is chasing draws with no understanding of pot odds, implied odds, or when to give up. He'll call two streets and fold the river when he misses.

Pool read #81 · River aggression · Exploiting missed draws

Why they do it

Flush chasers at $1/$2 are everywhere. They see two of their suit on the flop and they're committed - until the river doesn't deliver. They call the flop, they call the turn, and then they fold when the board bricks out and you fire again. Predictable as sunrise.

The adjustment

Bet all three streets on boards where the flush draw misses. He came along for the flush and when it didn't come he's done. The river bet is the most important one - don't skip it.

What it's worth

Checking back a river where the flush draw missed because you're scared of a check-raise leaves $40-60 on the table every time. Fire the river. He's folding.
