Calling Station · $1/$2 live

The calling station who folds to your c-bet is not a calling station anymore - at least not on this hand. When this player folds, believe it and move on.

Pool read #64 · Pot management · Avoiding over-adjustment

Why they do it

Calling stations fold sometimes. When they do it's because they completely whiffed and even they know it. Don't overthink it. Take the pot, reset, and go back to value betting them next time they call.

The adjustment

Don't follow up a calling station's fold with an attempt to exploit it further. Take the win, reset your reads, and get back to extracting value on the hands where they call.

What it's worth

A pot won uncontested against a calling station is still a pot won. Bank it and move on. Don't get greedy trying to read meaning into the one time they folded.
